Pokerlifter's August

Welcome to the first of my monthly summaries

Raising Pots

So how was August poker-wise? Results wise really not great, though as my posts the last few weeks have stated, I've been happy that I am growing as a player.

So the tale of the tape for cash games is as follows:

Hands: 16,871
Hours: 47.58
BB/100: -0.96
$/hour: -$0.14
Total winnings: -$6.48
Total rakeback + bonus: $26.02

Total for the month: $19.54

So, amazingly a profitable month thanks to rakeback and bonuses. If there was no bonus then the month would be ~-$1. So, with September (and onwards) having no bonuses it will remain to be seen how I will do. In my entire 10month career I have only ever posted 3 positive months. This is going to change.

A quick overview of tournaments. I played 46 tournament's in August for a net loss of -$10.45 or -21.86 %. With 2 1st place finishes 6 2nd and 2 3rd.

Lifting Weights

So, August wasn't great. Good, but not great. Fundamentally August has seen my motivation for t he gym restored. This potential energy now needs to be converted to kinetic so we can see some results. Being fit and healthy will affect my mind for the better and make me a better a poker player, equally positive results on the felt will give me the mindset to work harder.

Come on September. What have you got? Back in a month...
